While Biebel's King's interview is amazing, one of the more interesting elements of it is "Skater Night" at Arco Arena; the inclusion of Duffel is a bit of a head-scratcher but a whole lot of awesome. Alas, the only correlation to be had that could have included the Wolves would have been some sort of meet and greet with the Sodalicious Team, though they just don't have the draw that TK and PRod have. So it goes.

Its A Saint Paul Thing
Lucky us. On the heels of Filler comes New Flavors by Kevin Horn, so get ready to head back to Oak Street this Saturday night. First the old dudes, and now the young dudes...view the trailer here. With rumors of footage pulled, things seem to be shaping up like videos of the past quite nicely. It might be drama, but the vid looks real good.
And the Wolves win. 'Twas a good game for all in blue involved. Hey Jan, hit up that @j_flynn and congratulate; kid had a career high in points!
Homeboy is giving B-Show a run for his money (last trick). (Though when I think about it, Chad has a job, two kids, and is 34; I say they're even). Finally, A-Plus sent in a link to one of the illest sponsor-me-tapes out there, and while I may have already linked to it, they use "Preach" so well, its totally worth another shot.

Times Was Froggy
filler from Glue Factory Skateboards on Vimeo.
Filler happened, and speaking for everyone involved, thanks to those who came out, it was a pleasant surprise for all us old men. Watch the video above or hit your trusted skateshop if you want a hard copy.Meyer was kind enough to throw some of his flicks from the night on the web right here. What's next then?

RETREAD
The return of something like this or this.
Mid-2009 was a time that I briefly rediscovered my love for the 40 oz.-er, before remembering their (to me) mind erasing effects and general way-too-blotto results. Take the time to read the reviews. Laser dawg.
As its been for the past five years or so, Shitheads Vol. 8 is again being dredged up for a sequel, and just like every other time, it seems like this time it might have legs. The idea has been kicked around so many times in fact, that I had McGuire code up a SV8 Sequel Name Generator. That shit is top secret, but here are some that I'm kicking around (since bringing it up last post, right?).
Shitheads Vol. 8 Part Two: Pizzy Vs. Jackal
Shitheads The Movie: The Search For Jr. Mint
Shitheads Begins (The prequel)
Shitheads: A Benji Meyer Joint
Shitheads World Tour
They get worse as you go down the list. Whatever, there's a production meeting Saturday.
Also, another round of the Platty's is coming up here, if you got something, leave it in the comments.
PS: The Tore-ass (2) getting coverage. Sick rig.

TRUST ONE
It seems apropos that the news of the birth of Todd Brown's first child was broken by Tha Dolo, on the twitter, no less. It's also becoming more and more difficult to resist the tweeting sirens, as it is way too evident now that I pretty much have to follow Tha Dolo, Dank Nuggzz, and Jack Shafer. And hey, congrats Todd!

Redheads unite! CJ got 109th in Tampa, and Jack Olson got 4th. Subtract 4 from 109 and you get what I got that one time I skated that contest: 105th boi!
Ayo, Sam, Ryan, Cutty, et. al., WE GOT THIS.
This just in: Clint goes to Clippers games. He's a total fan of Chris Kaman.

Tap'd Out
Is there any validity to my notion that somehow, some way, Alex Olson is the daggerganger of the wayward Nate Compher? Could it be the other way around?; it is well known that Nate did have a preponderance for pivot grinds to fakie and early grab FSAs as recently as 2008. This all somehow came to be while watching Olson in Venice and Compher in All In.
Even more pressing is the rumor that Jr. Mint has decided to train in Mixed Martial Arts, a fact that I swear I'd heard before and already reported upon, though at this point, I'm really not sure if I heard it from an actual human, had a bizarrely realistic dream about it and thus thought it was reality, or if I unconsciously (but while fully conscious) made the whole thing up. Answers anyone?
There's a new Wiskate video out there, and, just as a suggestion, since it would rule, could we get a Pizzy 2009 Retrospective Video going? It could double as his sponsor-me tape; I hear Bovee has some openings. And then, just to toss it out there and see if it sticks...Shitheads Vol. Mid-30's: Dan Jackson Vs. Pat Forster. Talk to me!
Let's try hard at updating this week. As a note to commenters, the spammers found us, so now you have to log in one way or another to post a comment.

"I've always wanted to d8 a sk8er..."
Totally.
This is not the actual post that I'd intended to put on the internet at some point; you see, school and dead car batteries and watching skate videos that I have to write about have gotten in the way. That and lack of motivation.
Facing writer's block, a random google search turned up this post regarding a Bay Area premiere of Creature's Hesh Law. All I have to say is this: but can you ollie?
Now back to writer's block.
PS: Happy birthday B-Show. Also, Shitheads Vol. 8 turns eight today.
