Whatever the video above inspires in you; disdain, awe, jealousy, inspiration, or schadenfreude, the Antwuan Dixon Epicly Later'd is one hell of a followup to the whole Dylan saga. In fact, in pure train wreck from, we haven't even seen the wrap-up of the whole damn thing, and already its a total tour de force of depravity. Dixon makes the whole "But he never had a drinking problem" sentiment seem like a trifle, to say the least.

Good Intentions
Chris Burt montage lifted from Kevin Horn. Welcome to Platland TJ.
Loon Dunks coming to Familia. Jerboi Bratrud designed them, but others say otherwise.
Still hard up for a Halloween costume like I am? An option.
House of 1817: The Movie premieres this Friday. Does that mean we shouldn't use the name Shitheads Vol. 8: The Movie, or that we should even more?
What Was The Hipster from New York Magazine is worth a read, maybe--anything that claims the death of a subsection of youth culture is usually pretty dubious. I do love it that "skatepunks" are lumped into the party. I also like that the author's description of the "White Hipster," just sounds like some random douche bag. Money quote: "Alife, the hipster-branding consultancy–cum–sneaker store, also launched in 1999, staffed by employees who claimed a rebel background in punk/skateboarding/graffiti to justify why they were now in retail sportswear." That's funny.
TWolves season opener? BOOYA!

Open Letter To 3rd Lair Part 3/A Windy World
The New Edition, via The Hesh
As tonight/today emphasizes, here we are, welcome to winter(ish) times, though, no doubt, we've got a 70 degree day left on the docket. Torrential rains and winds found me skating at 3rd Lair last night, and in recognition of the fact that they've begun to revamp the street course and make something anew for the winter, its time for a Third Open Letter to 3rd Lair. This shall be brief(ish):
Dear 3rd Lair,
The new obstacle is fun, even if the coping should stick out a bit more; eight feet is too-high-to-not-know exactly where you are on that thing. Either way, its a hell of a roll-in. Please keep changing stuff.
Thanks, Platinumseagulls LLC.
As an addendum, its useful to note the original open letter, which advocated for simplicity, smallness, and funness (sic on purpose).
It could snow today.

Big City Blues
There are two concrete parks opening in the state next month, just in time for layered cold weather skating. Alas, neither is in Minneapolis.
The St. Cloud Skate Plaza, construction pictured above, opens November 13th, and is just about an hours drive away, depending on where you are in the TC. Those brick hips await.
Further north, the Bemidji Skatepark opens November 5th, and yes, Dillon landed that seven foot plus air to flat.
The Bemidji park is due a session and a camping trip next spring (I'm looking at you guys) and the St. Cloud Plaza is easy enough to get to this year. Why are we stuck skating Elliot Park, Front, and Oakdale? News out of Richfield is hopeful, but when will a Minneapolis or St Paul proper, proper skatepark come about?
Completely unrelated, and I'm sure only five people will care, but how can you not like a story whose teaser is "Motiveless Bitchery and Sad Self-Delusions on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"? Thanks Troy Patterson.
If you haven't checked out McGuire's show at Familia, get out there and see it. Its good stuff.
Chromeball lands MC, and in the process scores 50-50 on questions answered. How did he get his board off the roof?
Powerslide in some leaves.
Happy Weekend.

Warped Tour Qualifier results! Crazy line-up on there. I totally beat Badger! Via: 3rd Lair.
Bovee left his mansion just long enough to show up on The Berrics. That's gotta be worth some Podium Points. There's a bunch of other locs in the clip too.
Wiskate has another mini-vid. Buy those dudes a beer next time you see them.

"Always On Max," An Aside
Beyond Puds, that video is emblematic of the life of many young pro/am skateboard types; mundanity and a righteous oblivity. I sound like I'm talking shit, but there's a certain jealousy there too. I only wish that when I can't find the pair of socks I want to wear someday, that I look that awesome.

More from the "archives". I figured I'd better mix things up since we all had Nate's 5's just sitting there. Cool huh? (Vid kinda sparked by this.)
Rumor* has it that some KOTR dudes are in town right now. Kook out and try to find them! The most relevant voice on Twitter has commented on the above as well.
Happy weekend.
